Vanilla Ideology Expanded is a mini-series of mods aimed at expanding the content in ideology - be it memes, relics and symbols or icons alike.

A lot of players perhaps are not too keen on Gauranlen trees in Ideology DLC being yet another 'magical', unexplainable tree in the hard sci-fi world of RimWorld. I was one of them. Vanilla Ideology Expanded - Anima Theme changes Gauranlen trees to be a special kind of anima tree - and everything surrounding it has also been made in Anima style.

This means that not only we are expanding the Anima content, but we are also trying to hide the fact that more than one 'magical' tree is enough for the RimWorld universe. Whilst this mod changes all the Gauranlen art, it also changes the names of things to be using Anima theme. Furthermore, old Gauranlen tree - now renamed to Anima Nexus Tree, can also be used for meditation purposes same way Anima trees can!

For obvious reasons this mod requires Ideology DLC.

A: Can I add it mid-playthrough to an existing save?
A: Yes, it’s only a texture change.

Q: Does this mod work with another mod that changes Gauranlen mechanics?
A: Yes, but it only retextures vanilla gauranlen things. Don’t expect some modded dryads to be magically retextured!

Q: Where should this mod be placed in the mod load order queue?
A: Anywhere under Ideology.

Q: Does this work without Ideology?
A: Yes, it changes the textures of Gauranlen things tho and they don’t exist without Ideology.

Q: Does this work with Combat Extended?
A: I sure hope so. The day texture swaps becomes incompatible with Combat Extended is the day I quit modding.



No issues are currently being tracked. If you encounter an issue, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running. Go to dev-mode console and press the green ‘Share Logs’ button and paste it in the comment section.
