The Fokker F.VII was, in its various versions, the most successful European airliner of the decade between 1925 and 1935. The original Fokker F.VII of 1924 was only built in a few examples, an almost complete redesign resulted in the single-engined F.VIIa in 1925. This was an excellent 8-passenger airliner used by KLM, Balair, Danish Air Lines and other European airlines. In 1926 G. Hubert Wilkins planned Arctic expedition under sponsorship from the Detroit News. For the expedition he bought Fokker F.VIIa "Alaskan" and F.VIIb-3m "Detroiter" which will be later known as "Southern Cross".
I planned to build several Fokker F.VII variants. This is the first version, single inline engined F.VIIa. To differentiate the variants further I planned this as ski plane but also added wheels. Because these airplanes probably carried their wheels in the cargo to change the undercarriage wherever it needs. I also modified this as expedition airplane, rather than airliner. You can use various portable equipments by simply loading what you need using large cargo door.
- Fuel Cart to refill the fuel tanks fully. Because they are 50% full when spawned.
- Large wing and big suspension for landing & takeoff short uneven ground
- Access everywhere using engine & service hatches, boarding & large cargo door, equipment and crew rest compartments, escape hatch
- Winch with mag all and bottom hatch to tie down the plane in 100% wind condition
- Two pilot cockpit
- Thermostat
- Fuel remaining time and max range instruments
- Generator clutch for engine efficiency
- Altitude hold & Waypoint hold
- Rps-based throttle control
- Heater, reserve battery
- Various first person equipments
Note: I didn't use a modular engine because I had already completed the engine and front parts of the plane before the announcement of modular engines update release date.
2. Fuel Selectors ON
3. Engine ON
4. Parking Brake OFF
5. Throttle Increase (requires very short runway to takeoff)
