R-05 Furious Aircraft Carrier

DESCRIPTION

The R-05 Furious is the last ship in the 5 ship Adamant class of fleet aircraft carriers. designed in the 60s and built in the 70s to replace the aging Republique class due to be converted into helicopter carriers. Equipped with catapults and arresting gear to handle the ever increasing size and weight of Newquay Fleet Air Arm fighters J/A-112N Chimera and the J-116N Jinn, as well as allowing cross deck operations with US carriers. The flight deck is almost twice the area of the Republique class which allows for simultaneous fixed and rotary wing operations as well as tandem aircraft launches doubling the sortie rate.

Despite being the largest vessel in the Newquay fleet and commonly used as a flagship it has a comparatively light armament of just one 40mm Sabertooth gun and a four missile AIM-7 battery for air defense. The Furious relies on her fleet escorts such as Cyclone class Destroyers and Hood class Frigates.



HOW TO USE
- Engine Start is on the navigation bridge (lower level) key button wait for black smoke
- All Primary weapons are controlled from FlyCo one deck above from the JTAC-ADV seat

Catapult Usage

- Make sure ship is moving at max speed into the wind
- When connected to the two hold back bars increase throttle to 15%
- When ready to launch press the launch button in the plane or a friend in the cupola on deck
- Increase throttle to max, and pull up
