Description
Now compatible with the mod DragSelect!

This mod reorganizes the trade UI into a two-column layout to make it clear what items the colony has vs trader has, who is trading, and how much it will cost.

Right-click on the ">" and "<" buttons to add the max/min amount of items (like the vanilla ">>" and "<<" buttons)

I always found the original trade UI frustrating. It is difficult to find what items I want to sell among the huge list of junk the trader has. What do negative vs positive numbers mean? Why is the cost of the trade so far away from the accept/cancel buttons?

Save games and compatibility
This mod merely changes the UI. This is compatible with adding/removing from saved games.

Compatibility
  • Compatible with Multiplayer
  • Compatible with Drag Select (all thanks go to the Drag Select modder, @telardo!)
  • Incompatible with Trade Helper (nothing will break, but some Trade Helper features do not work)

I welcome any ideas to improve the current UI!

Changelog
Feb 7 - Compatibility with Drag Select has been added on Drag Select's side (thank you @telardo) Dec 31 - Added error handling to safely catch errors thrown by other mods when attempting to grab caravan info (item mass, food consumption, etc). This handles an error thrown by Vanilla Furniture Extended. Dec 23 - Add left/right <> arrows, right click to add/remove max amount of items (same as vanilla ">>" and "<<" buttons) Dec 16 - Fixed vanilla load Transport Pod UI and reform caravan UI not having arrow >, >> buttons visible. Disabled unnecessary text logging

How do I install this mod?

See the 'How to install' tab.

Is this mod safe to use?

The mods are repacked as is, without any additional software, malware, or bloatware added. To check for viruses, use a reliable antivirus or upload the archive to a website like virustotal.com. Anyway, It's always a good practice to keep backups of your saves in case of mod incompatibility .

There is a folder in the .zip archive. To install the mod, move the entire folder (not just its contents) into 'Mods' folder located under your RimWorld root isntallation folder.
So, for steam version of the game, the path would look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
For any other distribution, firstly locate your rimworld installation path and then unpack the archive into the 'Mods' folder.
Then enable the mod in the game mods menu by double clicking on its name and restart the game
