TWO-STAGE FIX

What does that mean? Well, basically, the ship is currently half-fixed. She can be fired up and driven around once again, but the sink switch is still broken.

The reason for this, is that while steam engines are workable once again, sink switches built in the conventional manner with hidden hatches, are not. Water flow is extremely slow due to the recent pressure and flow changes, even if the flooding compartment is a near perfect vacuum. You can see this easily when you look into Celtic's sink switch and see the jankiest, ugliest, and messiest system for something that's supposed to fairly simple.

What all this means is that while I'll be fixing the ship's boilers now, I'm going to wait until pressure and flow are updated to function much better to fix the sink switches.

(Fictional)
Originally to be built for the Collins line under the name "Antarctic", She was sold to another shipping line under the name "Oakland" after the company folded.
She was by far the fastest ship in the world at the time, having reached a top speed of a blistering 16 knots!
She served a long career, Being the pride of the United States for over 30 years, Until one day, during one of her voyages, She simply vanished out of existence. No one knows what happened to her, however a ship that was somewhat near by reported hearing what sounded like an explosion.

HOW TO SPAWN

1: Load up the world that you want to spawn it in
2: go to the pause menu
3: Click "addon editor"
4: Click "load"
5: Click "Workshop"
6: Click "SS Oakland (Sinkable)"
7: Click "test location" on one of the four spawning locations

STARTING, OPERATION, AND SHUTTING OFF

TO START:
1: go to one of the boiler rooms
2: turn the damper all the way up
3: light boiler
4:turn on the autocoalers if you don't want to shovel it in yourself
5: once steam pressure is up, you should be good to go

OPERATION:
Speed is directly linked to steam pressure. The higher the pressure, the faster you will go.
Speed can be controlled from the engine room, the bridge, and the auxiliary helm.
Steering can be controlled from the bridge, and the auxiliary helm.

FEATURES
-16 knots top speed
-Full interior (Don't worry, I optimized it as much as I could without compromising the aesthetic design)
-6 Working lifeboats
-Working paddlewheels
-Simulated steam engine
-Working cargo hatches
-4 sink options
-Accommodations for:
64 Saloon class passengers
32 Steerage class passengers
25 Crew members
-Working map
-working fireplace

SINK SWITCHES

-The sink switch is located in the captains cabin at the stern of the ship, as a keypad on the desk.
-Boiler Explosion 1: The forward right boiler explodes, Blowing open a hole in the bottom of the ship as well as the front bulkhead, rendering it useless.
-Boiler Explosion 2: The aft left boiler explodes, with enough force to blow the entire ship in half, creating a massive hole in the boiler rooms bulkhead
-Weather Based Split: The ship v-breaks in rough seas
-Weather based Boiler Explosion: Same as Boiler explosion 1, but is caused by the bow slapping down into the ocean particularly hard

EXTRA NOTES
-The weather based sink switches are triggered by the ship hitting particularly harsh water in a rather specific way, so don't be surprised if it takes a while to trigger, or not trigger at all.
-Paddle steamers don't really like being broadside to the waves, so it rolls rather easily.
-When the ship splits, the bow remains partially operational, being able to limp forward with 2 of its 4 boiler still working.
-The ship can be operated at low physics setting, so you can switch to that if your system is struggling to run it.
-The boiler explosions use parts from the weapons DLC, but they aren't required for it to work.

Inspired by the Collins line steamers.
