Vanilla Storytellers Expanded is a brand new mod series featuring standalone storytellers, bringing new, unique mechanics to the game.
“Empress Evil does not believe in the concept of good. Driven by primal rage and savage instinct, she will force you to constantly be on your toes, throwing harder and harder tasks until you give up and perish.
No good events can happen, ever.”
Empress Evil comes with the following traits:
Only bad events
This storyteller stops all straight-up good events from happening. The story will be riddled with failures, raids and misery. The only good events that are allowed to occur are those that can cause bad events to happen down the line - meteors, relationships, bonding with animals etc.
Scales with wealth
This storyteller scales with a colony wealth being a deciding factor - the higher the wealth, the more difficult raids and bad events will happen.
Hard difficulty
This storyteller has hard difficulty. It will favour bad events, and any events that happen are tailored to your colony based on it’s wealth, past events, amount of colonists and other factors.
Authors:
Oskar Potocki, an artist and a designer, responsible for artwork.
Kikohi, a programmer responsible for the storyteller code.
Nazz Abdoel, original creator of the image used to draw the Empress evil
Rimworld is owned by Tynan Sylvester.

Q: Can I change to this storyteller mid-save?
A: Absolutely.
Q: Does it work with Combat Extended?
A: It’s a storyteller. It should do.
Q: Will you keep updating the mod with new content?
A: This is a singular storyteller mod. Development work on it has been finished.
Q: Is it compatible with X mod?
A: It is compatible with majority, if not all, mods.
Q: Why is X event not banned?
A: Whilst we made sure to disallow majority of the good events, some good events are necessary to keep the game interesting and going forward - events like relationships can always turn into break-ups, bonded animals can always die and lead to mental breaks, meteors falling can always fall on your colonist. If you find an event that’s clearly good and you think should be banned, please let us know.
Q: Can I play this mod alongside Vanilla Factions Expanded - Insectoids?
A: Yes, you can, as the storytellers are exactly the same.

How do I download and install mods?
Simply click the blue button above. It will open the file hosting page with the mod repacked by us from the official source. How do I install this mod?
See the 'How to install' tab.Is this mod safe to use?
The mods are repacked as is, without any additional software, malware, or bloatware added. To check for viruses, use a reliable antivirus or upload the archive to a website like virustotal.com. Anyway, It's always a good practice to keep backups of your saves in case of mod incompatibility .
There is a folder in the .zip archive. To install the mod, move the entire folder (not just its contents) into 'Mods' folder located under your RimWorld root isntallation folder.
So, for steam version of the game, the path would look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
For any other distribution, firstly locate your rimworld installation path and then unpack the archive into the 'Mods' folder.
Then enable the mod in the game mods menu by double clicking on its name and restart the game
