Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi is another sub-module to the new Vanilla Cuisine Expanded mod series. This particular mod introduces sushi and the advanced art of sushi making, utilising everyone’s favourite rice, as well as fish from Vanilla Fishing Expanded.

The healthiest food on earth, sushi comes divided into vanilla meal categories, but it can be made either using mostly rice and little fish, or mostly fish and little rice. For those particularly insane, an option to deep fry sushi is also available!

We are not ending there - you can also craft two new condiments - wasabi paste and soy sauce!

Vanilla Cooking Expanded - Sushi mechanics can be seen described below:

There shouldn’t be any incompatibilities or issues, but in case anything pops up, report issues in the Google form.

Q: Do I need the Vanilla Cooking Expanded mod for this to work?
A: Yes, it is using the new soup cooking mechanic we introduced in VCE.

Q: Can I suggest a feature?
A: Absolutely, leave a comment down below!

Q: Soybeans to tofu!
A: No. Growable meats are cheaty, as they invalidate a whole portion of the vanilla game: hunting. We'll probably never add a growable meat substitute. Also, tofu was banned Galaxy-wide in 4765 after the Tofu-Mechanoid Wars.
But seriously, if you want tofu so bad, there is a third party add-on: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2237826966

Q: haha, funny, but are you adding tofu?
A: Unfortunately, I am afflicted by a rare mental disorder where I can't add tofu to mods.

Q: No, seriously, I want tofu in this mod
A: How dare you? Tofu killed my mom. I am so outraged by this that I have just added tofu to the mod and then deleted it immediately

Q: Will you keep updating the mod with new types of meals?
A: This mod is feature-complete - it’s literally a small module for the main Cooking mod. If you have a suggestion for a new module, please ask for it on the main Cooking mod comment section.

Q: Is this mod save game compatible?
A: Yes, you can add it whenever you like. Removing a mod from an active save is usually heavily discouraged, it will cause problems somewhere down the line

Q: CE compatible?
A: はい、このアップグレードは何とでも互換性があります!

Is this mod safe to use?

The mods are repacked as is, without any additional software, malware, or bloatware added. To check for viruses, use a reliable antivirus or upload the archive to a website like virustotal.com. Anyway, It's always a good practice to keep backups of your saves in case of mod incompatibility .

There is a folder in the .zip archive. To install the mod, move the entire folder (not just its contents) into 'Mods' folder located under your RimWorld root isntallation folder.
So, for steam version of the game, the path would look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
For any other distribution, firstly locate your rimworld installation path and then unpack the archive into the 'Mods' folder.
Then enable the mod in the game mods menu by double clicking on its name and restart the game
