Vanilla Ideology Expanded is a mini-series of mods aimed at expanding the content in ideology - be it memes, relics and symbols or icons alike.

Icons and Symbols module adds over 200 new icons for ideologies. Icons have been categorised based on their looks and utilise respective tags to make sure they only appear on specific ideologies - you should not encounter a Transhumanist domination ideology with a flower as their symbol.

In case of any feedback or bug reports, please utilise the comment section of the mod on the Steam workshop.

A: Can I add it mid-playthrough to an existing save?
A: Yes, albeit to no effect, is ideologies are only created upon starting a new game.

Q: I don’t like certain symbol, how can I remove it?
A: We will at some point add Mod Options toggle for them. For now however, you need to edit your local mod copy by going into the only xml file there is and removing the specific icon you don’t need. They are categorized by, well, categories, and then followed by a letter. Use this mod’s infographic to guide you which one you dislike, and then yeet it and save it.

Q: Can I suggest some new icons?
A: Sure thing, but I doubt we will be adding many more. We already quadrupled vanilla icon amount.

Q: Where should this mod be placed in the mod load order queue?
A: Anywhere under Ideology.

Q: Is it compatible with another mod that adds icons?
A: Ow hell yes it is!

Q: You labeled Star wars icons as Star Trek in mod description.
A: Did I?

Q: Does this work without Ideology?
A: No.

Q: Does this work with Combat Extended?
A: I swear, if for some reason it doesn’t, Combat Extended should be removed from the workshop and only sold under the table in the off licence stores if you prove you’re not a cop.

The mods are repacked as is, without any additional software, malware, or bloatware added. To check for viruses, use a reliable antivirus or upload the archive to a website like virustotal.com. Anyway, It's always a good practice to keep backups of your saves in case of mod incompatibility .

There is a folder in the .zip archive. To install the mod, move the entire folder (not just its contents) into 'Mods' folder located under your RimWorld root isntallation folder.
So, for steam version of the game, the path would look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\RimWorld\Mods
For any other distribution, firstly locate your rimworld installation path and then unpack the archive into the 'Mods' folder.
Then enable the mod in the game mods menu by double clicking on its name and restart the game
